Communication_manner ( Speaker, Message, Manner )

Description

This construction differs from its parent, Communication "V that", in that it expresses manner of communication directly in the verb, instead of some external adjunct (like an adverb or a prepositional phrase). It is used with verbs encoding different ways in which spoken communication takes place: for instance volume (shout, whisper), noise (groan, burble), or speaker's attitude (sneer, enthuse).
